Statue Square
Statue Square is famous for the Philipinos that gather there on every Sunday, otherwise it is just a little square in the middle of Central. However, it is surrounded by some of the most important institutions in Hong Kong and the region, such as the City Hall, the Legislative Council, the HSBC Building and the Bank of China Tower.

Hong Kong City Hall
Opened more than 40 years ago, the City Hall is the first multi purpose cultural centre in Hong Kong. Although every district has its own cultural centre nowadays, the City Hall is still highly respected among the people of Hong Kong. The City Hall serves the following purposes:

• Concert Hall, Recital Hall and Theatre, plays host to musicals and dramas from local to worldwide productions. Current events can be checked at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's website
• Marriage Registry where you can find many new happy couples taking photographs here during the good marriage season according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
• Once the most important public library in Hong Kong. However, since 2001, the Central Library at Causeway Bay has opened to public.
• Memorial Garden to commemorate those who died in the defence of Hong Kong during the war between 1941 and 1945.
