Stanley Plaza is merely a transport hub and a small local shopping centre, with some local restaurants and supermarkets. Just don't misidentify this plaza as the famous Stanley Market!
Tin Hau Temple
Built in 1767, located between the Stanley Plaza and Murray House. As the Goddess of the sea, Tin Hau is the most worshipped Goddess among the fishermen in Hong Kong. Nowadays, most Hong Kong locals worship her too. Therefore, besides this temple, there are numerous other Tin Hau temples in Hong Kong, as fishermen and locals make wishes to the Goddess in order to protect them from dangerous seas.
